Had a bad experience trying to get reimbursed for a sewer pipe replacement.
Saturday night our master bathroom, and adjacent bathroom toilet, and bathtub started backing up.
I called AHS to see if they could have someone come out to take a look at it.
So I waited for some one from the company that they recommended would be calling me.
No call for four hours. So I looked up the company that was recommended to find out they are closed on weekends...smh
Sunday morning my master bathroom toilet is now over flowing with nasty stuff coming out and it spilled all over the bathroom floor and the master bedroom carpet.
Not wanting to wait, I called an emergency plumbing service to come and see what was the problem. They found out the the sewer line was clogged and the pipe needed to be replaced.
They replaced the pipe, but it cost me 3910.00 to fix.
On Monday I call AHS to see if I can be reimbursed the cost and was told "sorry but you went out of warranty and we are unable to reimburse you."
I was floored when the rep said that.
So now I am out almost four thousand dollars.
What's the use of having insurance when you still have to come out of pocket.
