I ordered the bender ball (it's a Workout ball for abs) on the Internet after watching the informercial on tv.  A couple days later A woman called to let me know my package should be arriving that day.  She then tried to get me to purchase  a members benefits coupon book that offers discounts  and savings to various location for $29.99.   I said no  and that I only want to be charged for  the bender ball I ordered for $7.99.  I just looked at my credit card transaction & account  history and my card was charged 29.99 from mvq best benefits .  They charged my credit card anyway without my authorization.  What sucks even more is they never sent me anything they are thieves and should be prosecuted for fraud.  KARMA'S A [***] !!!!

This is one of a number of "discount club" scams.  They get your account information from some other merchant you provided it to, then start cramming monthly charges.  The Senate Commerce Committee held hearings recently on this scam, and the NY Attorney General is investigating them for consumer fraud.

Immediately contact your bank to dispute the charges as fraudulent, and follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement to invoke your FRB Reg. E dispute rights.  You have only 60 days from the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge to dispute under FRB Reg. E (for EFT to checking accounts) or FCBA (for charges to credit cards).

I don't know how these people got my card number but I did not give it to them and I don't want this scam. This is getting totally out of control with this kind of 'rip-off' and it's got to stop.

My 86 year old father ordered something from TV and now he gets a charge every month for 19.95.  I called the phone # provided on his credit card statement and they would stop the charges if I would provide them the member #.  Member # for what?  What is it that he's a member of?  Scam Artists!!

When I called to order the Swifer Sweeper there were many questions that I did not understand which I had to answer by pressing numbers.  Nevertheless I feel that I was “tricked” into allowing these charges to be placed on my VISA account.

I tried to call the number provided on my VISA statement but it just hung up on me because I did not have an account number.  I do not remember receiving anything with an account number on it. Even so a reputable business would not treat a customer in that shabby manner. There should be a way to contact them when there is a problem.  They just do not want to refund my money or anybody’s money.

I did not order anything from you and I have no dealings with you. Why did you deduct $19.95 from my account. I need that money back plus 2 percent interest for all the days you inconvinienced me. This is fraud.
