I just got a call from the phone number 888-279-9221 saying that I won a thousand dollar online shopping spree and some magazines at a very low price. They told me there was no catch, but they asked for my credit card info. I always check online for complaints when I get phone calls like this one, and it saved me because they were just going to steal money. I got the same exact phone call a few days earlier, and it turned out to be a construction company in Tampa Florida. Both calls said they were from Publishers Services.

I just got this call as well... I gave them "most" of my information, even got their "winning finalist number". They started asking me for birthdates and all that. At about that same time I read through the first 10 threads on here and told them I didn't feel comfortable giving out any more details over the phone, and asked them if they could mail me the information instead. The lady got rather short with me and said I won't be able to participate in winning $1000 (or being included in their $1Mil drawing) if I didn't give more information. I told her I don't want to participate then. She says "Because you already gave your credit card information, I already charged your card. I will undo the charge so that your funds are returned to your account" and then ALMOST hung up the phone on me (definately rushed to get me off).

We'll see if I start seeing "Publisher Services" charges on my account... Hopefully not. I shouldn't have even started falling for this crap. They made it sound SOO easy, it just pisses me off! I normally have a VERY strong resolve for this kinda stuff. *sigh*

Just got in Vegas a couple of days ago, only to receive a phone call today (989-785-7009) from the so called Publishers Service telling me that I won $1000online shopping card and I have been enrolled in their $1m draws.. they asked for my card details but I told them that I will not release such information to them. They also asked for my age, of which i gave them.. When they asked for my card info and the expiry date, I told them to send me an email requesting all those details. They even used my former address in Florida, (I don't know how they got that information)

I sent them a text insulting them and informed them that everything in life has a ripple effect. I hope they get caught practicing this act of theirs. They are idiots!! I was also told to subscribe to 6 diff mags for $3.95 a week or $16 a month. Well, they dont have my current address, no card information so I guess I'm safe!!

      $192 a year for 6 magazines???

You can buy most consumer magazines directly from publishers for only about $8 to $12 a year.
That  would be less than half this "deal".

And you wouldn't have some sleazeball forever trying to con or extort you, or just reaching into your bank account whenever they wanted.

Publisher's services is a scam. Stay away, they call me everyday without fail even though i tell them to take me off the call list. I have no clue how they have my phone number or information -- must have a crawler scraping all social media, online retailer sold them information, or they have a system hacker or DDOSer. Don't give them any information and report them immediately. They're using Washington phone numbers at the moment.

John and Cheryl Daly are nothing but scam artist. I know because I've worked for them. They don't send the customers their magazines and just take their money. The sad part about it...Cheryl is stealing money from her own husband.  Last week he caught her stealing money transferring from one account to another. He had no idea about the other account. Lol! This has been going on for quite sometime now. If you need to contact them the number is 310-361-5650 main line....Johns Desk 310- 361-5641

I just received a call from publisher services (508-455-3095) while I was at work . Since I was bored I thought figured why not play along. I found out that I was one of five finalist to with $25,000! Devin was nice enough to ask me if i was between 21-75 and if I was married, they had my address which was a little upsetting, however I also won a subscription to magazines like Vogue (WHAT?!). Devin told me that it would be $5.75 a week for 6 years I said "No Devin, I dont want to pay for anything" He then continued on his little rant and entered me into an early bird drawing for $2,500 (awesome!) and then asked if I had any questions. Obviously my first was going to be How do you plan to charge me for these magazines? Devin said "you will not be charged unless you agree to it." I told Devin " well cool, because I do not agree to anything that would charge me." Devin told me that is ok cause I wont be charge. Then I won another reward and he would need to send me to his award supervisor so I said ok cool.
There was a short pause... no hold music which was disappointing but then Darren came on the phone! Darren (who sounded a lot like Devin..hmmm) asked how Devin was, I said nice. He said thanks for that blah blah blah, and then he goes ok so I see you have become a finalist congrats and agreed to the 5.75 magazine subscription. I said oh no Devin said I'm not charged for that since I didnt' agree. Darren said "that is not true, he told you it would charge you" I told Darren no that was not our conversation. Darren said he was listening to the whole conversation and thats what Devin Said. I was no Darren that is wrong, I did not nor would I ever agree over the phone to be charged for anything. HE told me to tell him exactly what was said because he will be firing Devin. So I said " Devin told me the 5.75 fee a week for the magazine and i asked how would i be charged and he told me there is no charge if you dont agree, so I didn't agree" Darren then told me that Devin is going to get fired for lieing to me. I told Darren oh cool, you shouldn't like to customers. This is where it got really interesting. I asked ok so please dont charge me for anything. Darren (now with an attitude) said how are we going to charge you. I told him I didn't know but I wanted to make sure he knew I didn't authorize anything and I will not be giving out any information and I dont appreciate his attitude. He told me to get the F*** off his line. Whoa whoa Darren that's not polite language. I said thats fine, you guys called me, lied to me and tried to scam me I would be upset as well if it didn't work. He then told me I was being nasty and rude to him and I need to again get the F*** off his line. of course at this point i just continued with the conversation cause who likes rude people? not me.
After about 5 more minutes of Darren being rude and trying to twist things around to me he hung up on me. Curious if this was a legit number I called back, got a nice lady named Kathy. I verified how they got my info, some random website I've never heard of but whatever. I told her I do not want any association with this and take my name out of any drawings. Then I asked for Darren because he hung up before our talk was over. He couldn't find him of course because there are a lot of people, I told her what he said to me and she made sure I would not be charged for anything. Since I didn't give any info and i never do ever I wasn't concerned but if you get this call just hang up. It's not worth it.
Number that called me is 508-455-3095!
