I have been going to this club for about a month now and just been informed that I need to pay an additional $156 and increase my monthly for amenities I will never use. One of the persons at the front desk remarked my acct about speaking to me about it prior but never actually spoke to about any type of upgrades or change to my membership I have been a member for 4 years now never had a issue til now I am already a paying member and had to pay entry fee of $5 just to use what I use at any other club I have been to!! Spoke to supervisor and acted like he didn't care and brushed me off I am completely disgusted with the way I have been treated as a long time pay member and this experience has led me to thinking of cancelling my services with la fitness. Completely upset this club is close to my home and is easy for me to access but refuse to pay more to be a already existing member of this club!

Christin E; manager of the grove LA fitness, Windermere Florida is simply uneducated and it makes perfect since that she make only $9 per hr.
We were told one thing and then after a few weeks they tried to implement another. I call it "bait and switch"
another term is liars and fraud.
This spa has a set of under trained personnel in all areas.  I had to call corporate and they seemed interested in resolving my complaint; however that has not happened.
so my option is to file a small claims suit in Orange County court as I shall do.
Avoid this all around hassle and go to an honest spa if there is such a thing

If they had an option for "0" stars, I would choose it.  My experience was bad enough to cancel my membership, but when I tried to over the phone, I was told that I had to come in, fair enough.  I went in and ended up being there for an hour to cancel.  I thought I was done with LA Fitness Windermere, but no...I noticed that they decided to try to charge my card again, 3 months after I cancelled, so I called and asked for a manager, which they wouldn't give me, I told them my issue and as I was explaining, saw in my bank account that they had not only charged me the month before, but DOUBLE charged me the month before.  After being on hold for the desk clerk to speak to a manager (which I wasn't permitted to speak to) I was told, "Oh I'm sorry, we can refund you for the charge that we just put through" and I asked about the double charge the month before, and that is when she has the audacity to tell me that it was my fault I didn't catch that, and I should have been looking at my account.....are you kidding me, you mess up and it's MY fault I didn't catch it???? I asked again to speak to a manager, and she said that the manager was busy, I asked the managers name which was Kristen (sp?)and then asked for a last name, she told me that she can't give that to me...What?????  I'm sorry, if you are a manager and you have to hide from an upset EX customer, and you need a little teenage girl to deflect, you should not be a manager. If I could stand out in front of the gym with a picket sign I would.  Save your money, buy a treadmill.

In Windermere, there is no question that you are catering to a prestigious clientele. CEOs, professional athletes, retirees, and a good amount of the 1% class. Having said this- The staff at LA Fitness Windermere location lacks good customer service, training, professionalism, ethics, certifications, and management experience...and most of all personality. You cannot build excellence with a team who lacks a sense of urgency, and refuses to overcome mediocrity and poor attitudes.

A gym is a place of peace and wellness, a place where you go to release the negative energy in everyday life whether it be from work or family. However...I guarantee that when you step into those doors and check in, you will not feel a warm welcome.

As a business owner myself...Heck! Maybe I should look into franchise opportunities. If you haven't considered tapping into that market La Fitness, here is some insight-- private owners take care of their customers. Happy customers = higher profitability. Easy concept really.

Good luck with keeping your quotas up LA Fitness Windemere. You should've opened down the street in Pine Hills, where "maybe" that kind of atmosphere and treatment would have been better accepted.
