Harassing calls
Complaint

Country: United States
For about a year we have been receiving calls from a company that identifies themselves as Card Member Services, claiming to lower our interest rates....We have repeately requested they discontinue calling us, to no avail....When we begin questioning them they will not answer our questons or we attempt to get the name and address of their company and they will just hang up.
We receive several calls weekly---sometimes several in one day.
Surely there is someone that can stop these harassing calls and shut these nuisances down??

Or adopt this strategy...
If they have had to continually change their numbers, or just spoof caller id with false or non-working numbers, they must be having problems with people calling them back and tying up their lines.
The robocalls are made to sift through and find likely victims to hand off to "closers".
They have to improve the odds to make it pay, or they wouldn't be making them.
The robocalls cost them virtually nothing, but tie up their people, and they can't swindle someone else.
They are calling and harassing many more people than they have closers, so if even a fraction of those who got harassed, harassed back, they would choke on the wasted time.
Act like a "mark", use an alias, pretend you have a bunch of CC debt ($10k gets them interested), and ask lots of dumb questions about what they will do.
Waste more of their people time than they are wasting of yours.
I am canceling that credit card but will pay the bill without the late fees if and whe It is sent to the coerrect address.
