FORGED CONTRACTS
Complaint

**WARNING** Do NOT sign up for DISH internet or TV. I signed up thirty days ago and the service has been HORRIFIC, second only to their poor customer service. You are only allowed 30 GB of internet, unless you pay $20 extra for 50 GB, and then that will only last a LESS THAN NORMAL internet user ten days. After that the internet speed slows down to below dial up speed. OH, but they do allow an EXTRA 50 GB between the hours of 2 am and 8am when MOST NORMAL PEOPLE ARE SLEEPING.
The television is just as bad. The audio never synced up with the video feed and the signal was lost every time it even LOOKED like it was going to rain. I think a squirrel on the roof with a tin-foil-wrapped coat hanger could provide better service than DISH.
****But THAT is not my MAJOR BEEF with them. When I called to cancel my service, I was told they were charging me a $989 early termination fee!!!!! Since I hadn't signed any contract, I asked them to provide me with a copy of this contract.
What the sent was FORGED pdf copies of documents I have never seen bearing a signature that IS NOT MINE. One of the FOUR documents they sent held what they pawned off as my husband's signature. It was signed RRM (not in his signature), and his initials are RLM! Since he's had that name for fifty-six years, I think he knows what it is!
I am beyond shocked by their actions. But it gets worse! My husband called them to report the problem and worked his way up to the EXECUTIVE OFFICE of DISH. Without apologizing or even saying they would investigate what happened, they told him they had a VALID contract and nothing would be done!
After he got off the phone with them, I wondered if this was commonplace for them, if it had happened to others. I Googled it and there are thousands, and thousands of people who reported this happening to them on consumer watchdog sites too!
Something needs to be done to stop this CRIMINAL activity. It's fraud and forgery pure and simple. Since it involves electronic communications it's even more serious.
If that early termination charge posts to my checking account, I guarantee I will be contacting the Florida Attorney General's office, the Federal Communications Commission, the FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as my attorney and any other agency I can think of. This just is not right!
If you've had a similar thing happen to you with DISH Network Internet or TV contracts, and are interested in (or pursuing) a class action lawsuit, please contact me at beckymcgrawbooks@gmail.com.
If you are with DISH Network and want to resolve this issue before it escalates, you may also contact me at the above email address.
