FALSE TRLRPHONE BILLS

Dear sir
I am a victim of a false bill claimed by verizon for a landline connection enquiry made by me when i immigrated to this country in november 2010.They did not give any service and not installed any phone, yet they send me a bill for the sum of $60.87.
When i wrote them earlier they said it is cancelled and now it seems they have given this to a debt collection agency for collection.
KIndly note that i dont owe them any money, so please cancel this notice
