The outer layer of the sole is separating from the inner layer

I have a pair of American made Red Wing Steel Toe Safety Boots that have the Dual Density Super Sole. This pair of boots is practically brand new. They have been worn 11 times and the outer layer of the "super sole" is separating from the inner layer. They are no longer warrentied because they are out of the one year time frame. Seems to me if the product is defective it should be warrented.
I have owned Red Wings before and found them to be of very good quality.  Because Red Wing does have a  cheaper brand boot thats made in China, maybe it's effecting the quality of the rest of their brand and that's to bad. It was a good brand.
