For the past 3 months I have been given nothing but a run around by LA fitness in trying to cancel 2 memberships.  We used to be part of Bally

1.    The center closest to my house told me to go in between 9 and 5 Mon-Fri.  Both my husband and I work and there is no way we can make it to the center between 9 and 5 Mon – Friday
2.    I have written numerous emails and been ignored
3.    I finally contacted American express and had them put a block on any and all charges from LA Fitness.
4.    Once the block was in place I received phone calls to update my billing – so now I took advantage to talk to someone on the phone
5.    They told me to send in a letter to LA fitness to cancel the membership.
6.    I sent in the letter with both membership information to be canceled
7.    I received a confirmation email that ONE of the memberships was canceled.
8.    I sent in another email – that was ignored
9.    I called the center near Levittown, NY again.  
10.    They told me that I have to mail in TWO separate letters – ARE YOU KIDDING ME????
11.    They told me to go in between 9-5 Mon to Friday.
12.    I again told them that this was not possible.
13.    They told me to have someone else take them the letters.
14.    I asked, are you sure that they will not just be given forms to fill out and that the letters will be sufficient?
15.    I was told yes
16.    My husband just took off from work this morning so that he could take them the letters.
17.    He just called me:
a.    The manager won’t be in until 10:30!!!
b.    The letters are not sufficient … He gave him “cancelation forms” to give me to fill out!!! – I did specifically ask that question and was told no!!!
c.    So now I have to spend more money on 2 stamps to send in these forms
18.    In the meantime LA Fitness is still trying to collect their fees!!!

I have never encountered such an unprofessional way of conducting business. As I said, I have tried everything I can since the end of May and have received no satisfaction at all.
