I just noticed this charge and thought I must have signed up. I went to experian and they have no record of me ever setting up an account with them. I started digging and found these charges of $19.95/mo began 11/23/11!

I've just noticed I had a pending POS debit on my checking account fo $1.00 from "POS DEBIT EXPERIAN *CREDITREPO 800-2202626 CA".  I immediately contacted that Experian 800-2202626 number and the guy that assisted me told me that in order for them to verify who made that purchase I needed to give him my credit card number.  I thought it was suspicious because the guy was not firm on his answers, every other word there was a "hmm".  So I told him I needed to do more research before I give him my card number.  Then I looked up Experian telephone number online and it is NOT  the same.  So, I proceeded to contact my bank explained the situation and my findings about similar issues other people have had with not authorized Experian charges and fortunately the Bank is also familiar with the Experian scam.  They issued a claim for the pending amount, cancelled that card and issued me a new one.  Just to be on the safe side!!!!  If that happens to you, please take action quickly.

I also have had a debit on my checking account at Chase for $1.00 going on 5 times now.  The charge is never completed. Meaning the charge is shown pending and then eventually "falls off" and the $1 is added back to my account. This should be illegal as I have never even contacted Experian.

Chase called me this morning because they were worried my debit card was stolen, I immediately went online to check my statements and I saw POS DEBIT EXPERIAN *CREDITREPO 800-2202626 CA for $1.00. The man on the phone ordered a new debit card for me free of charge and new checks. If this happened to you call your bank ASAP and have them order you a new card, better safe than sorry.
