My bank account was charged .99 for something I have no knowledge of.

I used google maps for a day trip, to return home, and later found a charge on my bank account from google, and I want to know WHY????

    There have been numerous complaints..
    reporting unauthorized charges connected to google.  Some are in connection with Google pay, but where consumers haven't set up any such mechanism.  This might point to Google pay as a mechanism now being used by thieves to make purchases using stolen account or card numbers.

    Dispute all unauthorized charges through your bank, and have them block your card number or shut down your account to prevent further charges.

    Check your recent statements, since one unauthorized charge may be associated with other unauthorized charges.  Your bank can reverse charges back 2 to 3 months if you dispute promptly, under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.
