refused to replace damaged furniture on 2 occasions
Complaint

Country: United States
First, i bought a whole bedroom set. When it was delivered, it was damaged. When i called i was told someone would contact me back. Noone did. When i called back they told me they wouldnt replace it. I complained again and they said they dont replace items that i damaged when i picked it up... BUT I didnt pick it up they delivered it. When i told them that they still refused to replace it. A year later, although still angry, i decided to go shopping for a dining room table. They had a great sale and i figured what were the chances i would get screwed twice. After picking out a table, we were told that we could buy chairs with arms for the ends. After buying the end chairs, It turns out that the set doesnt offer it. when we picked it up from the fredericksburg store they loaded it in my vehicle. You sign a statement that states they are responsible for damages once it leaves but they dont let you look at it before hand to verify its condition. After very carefully unloading it out of my vehicle and setting it up, my husband and i saw SEVERAL scratches on the table, sever places that have discoloration, one of the 6 chairs did not have the proper holes drilled in it like the others in order to install it. Several chairs had scratches and splits in the legs. The quality (other than the scratches) was so poor that the color rubs off in some areas. When i called they said they would replace it but i needed to send them pictures to prove that it didnt happen at a later date since i needed something to eat on for thanksgiving ( which was only a few days away). After i sent pictures via email they replied back that they would review it and consider possibly replacing it (after they said they would). After going back and forth with them, they didnt end up replacing it. TWICE they did this to me. I will never go back and will never recommend them. Although the prices may seem good, I guess you get what you pay for...crappy customer service, broken furniture, and bad quality furniture.
