Receiving phone calls
Complaint
Cheramie Venzke
Country: United States
I was initially contacted by this company on Thursday, 1/7/2021. I was at work so I was not able to answer the phone call and the employee that called had left me a voicemail. Contained within this voicemail, the employee stated this message was for me and he said my full name. He then stated the reason for my call was that he needed to confirm my social security number and that where I am currently living was the primary place of occupancy entirely in order to confirm assets. Also stated within this voicemail was that the person that they were looking for and wanting to know if she was living with me, that they were looking for her to sign for and respond to a required demand notice per federal guidelines. And that this issuing process may commence within 24-48 hours. I looked up the phone number that I was contacted from. It was a local number and oddly enough, it was connected to a business called Exceptional Homes & Remodeling. Thinking that this was a joke or a scam once I looked up the number, I just simply blocked the local number that called me and I thought that would be the end of it. Well, I ended up receiving another voicemail from the same phone number. This one was dated for yesterday, 1/7/2021. I blocked the number, so they attempted to call me again and it went to voicemail right away. Well now, the same employee also needs to confirm my full name, my place of employment and my address. So, I'm starting to believe this is either a scam or this is a company seeking my personal information in which I will not be giving it to them.
