this company calls our home phone every 3 hours almost exactly every 3 hours daily even on sundays starting at 8 50 am.i found out through our phone service we can not block this number from calling.should i hire an attorney and get them to stop calling. when you pick up the phone there is noone on the other end. the number they are calling from is 1-866-720-1467.

    allied interstate collection agency will call your home phone non stop every 3 hours via an automated phone service at number 1-866-720-1467. this number is unblockable meaning you can not block it.i am going to hire an attorney to sue them for harrasment

    Since they are a debt collector, they may be attempting to contact you in connection of a debt.  It may be a debt you owe, a debt you already paid, the debt of someone else that they have mistaken you for, or they may be calling your phone number entirely in error.

    You may want to start with a complaint to the Florida Attorney General to document the pattern of repeated harassing calls.  

    If it is possible you might have an old debt in collection, you might want to check your credit reports to see if a debt collector has put a negative entry on your reports, whether legitimate or erroneously.

    Debt collectors are required by federal law (FDCPA) to send you a letter within 5 days of their first contact notifying you of the amount of the alleged debt and to whom it is owed, and notifying you that you can request verification of the debt, and name and address of the original creditor, and that if you do not request that in writing within 30 days, they will assume the debt is valid.  (That does not mean that the debt IS valid.)

    Whenever you are dealing with a questionable debt pursued by a debt collector, avail yourself of your right to request verification of the debt, requested in writing and sent certified return receipt requested.  They are prohibited from collection activity until they send you  verification, or the name and address of the original creditor as you have requested.

    If you determine that they are calling you in error, then you can send them a "cease communications" letter (again certified return receipt requested), and if they continue with their harassing calls, they will be in violation of FDCPA for doing so, and you can sue them regardless of whether you are even the debtor they thought they were trying to call.

    I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEM.  I KNOW I OWE NO DEBT.  I FINALLY GOT SICK OF THEIR MESSAGES AND CALLED THEM.  I DID NOT GIVE MY NAME, NOR DID THEY ASK.  THEY ONLY ASKED FOR MY PHONE NUMBER WHICH THEY OBVIOUSLY HAD ON THEIR LIST.  I TOLD THEM TO STOP CALLING AND I OWE NO DEBT.  THEY DID MENTION A COUPLE FIRST NAMES, ASKING IF THEY LIVED HERE AND IT SAID NO.  I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD UPDATE THE LIST AND REMOVE MY NUMBER AND THAT IT MAY TAKE 48 HOURS TO DO SO.  SO WE'LL SEE.....

    I was having issued with them as well and found this number 1-800-811-4214 , they removed from the list after contacting them.

    Sue these people PLEASE !!!!

    THEY CALL AND NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE.  

    SO YOU CAN NEVER GET YOUR PHONE # OFF OF THEIR LIST.

    THEY REPEATEDLY CALL YOU WITH AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE AND DO NOT PROVIDE A MEANS TO RESPOND.
