I purchased a Stearn & Foster Mattress 6 years ago and paid $1600 just for the mattress. In the 6 years I have had it and had their customer sercice guys out twice. Now I have a very serious back problem and have to have surgery. The customer service guys say the mattress has to sag 1.5 inches before they will do anything. My mattress is sagging almost that with no one in ti. It is bulging on one side of the mattress. My husband and I fight each other all night because we are both rolling to the middle. I am going to contact the BBB and see if I can't get any results. This is a huge rip off. I have read other complaints from consumers in the same boat with this company and they can't get any results either. Please contact me with some answers.

    We also bought a Sterns and Foster king mattress from a Ft. Lauderdale retailer and both sides sagged after two years while the middle remained high. Despite good support from the bed frame and mattress rotation the mattress "aged" very quickly. Sterns and Foster no longer makes a quality product.

    We just bought a Stearns and Foster mattress. After 3 days there was a 1/2 inch contour down the entire middle of the bed. We have been told it needs to be 1 1/2 inches before they can replace! This is totally unacceptable.  This is "supposedly" a new mattress. Why should there be a 1 1/2 in contour down the middle of a "new" mattress? I suspect this is a "refurbished" mattress sold under the guise as a new mattress.  Macy's should do more research into this company before selling more of their products.
