Today I had a very bad experience at 4640 Roosevelt blvd at 6:40 that I will never in my life forget.
My Husband and I went to Ross to look for a Jacket we found one at a very good price and we were very happy about it. So my husband went to wait on line to pay for it while I looked around instead of me waiting on the the long line.
When my husband reached his turn and the cashier named Nile scanned the ticket on the jacket she told my husband that the tag was not for this jacket and took the tag off so my husband told her why did you take the tag off I want to speak to the manager while she was calling the manager my husband returned the tag on the jacket just like he found it so then when the manager came the cashier told him that the tag was off the jacket from the beginning but my husband put it back on
I came and i calmly explained to her that I found the jacket and it had a ticket on it but she refused And kept saying that the jacket never had a tag on it in the first place so my husband insisted that they go play back the video camera tapes, the one where we first found the jacket with the tag on it and the video where the cashier took off the tag
After a couple of run arounds, the managers and some workers insisting that I come watch the video alone but my husband and I both refused that we would only go together so then they let us go together to See the video
However they only showed us the part where my husband was putting the tag on back on the jacket trying to portray my husband as a Thief
we told them to rewind the tape more and we then saw that the tag was dangling on the jacket and that it really was on
And that my husband brought the jacket to the cash register and then she scanned it and then when she claimed the jacket had the wrong ticket it shows how she then swiftly takes the tag off of the jacket
But the managers and cashiers are insisting that the tag was off from the beginning and my husband returned it we asked them to watch the video where we found the jacket on the aisle but they claimed they couldn't and that they don't have camera in the stores only on the register
After hours of arguing and my husband refused to leave until
The truth be told they offered to give my husband the jacket for the price of the tag but my husband refused because all he wanted at this point was the truth be told in front of all the workers and customers that my husband and i had been embarrassed in front of
The other manager named Jennifer kindly went in front of the store and said that the tag was on just to get my husband out of the store
My letter is to make a big complaint about the way my husband and I were treated we are used to having 100% satisfaction when we enter any department store
the way we were accused and treated was very hostile and inappropriate and we are very mad an disappointed about this
My first step is to write to you and see what can you can do to help us in this situation
If you are unable to help we plan on taking further actions and calling for legal help
We feel our rights had been abused in your store and we want justice to be served
We hope you can really Look into this
Matter and investigate and let us know the next step
Thank you
