i also had a simlar problem where they installed the satellite antenna on my roof and created leaks in the roof&ceiling. it cost me over $2000. to remediate. I asked them to first repair and then to reimburse me for my expenses to remediate. they put we thru hoops to reimburse me but they never did,. i stopped using their service and they charged me for terminating the contract early. i informed them that when they reimbursed me for the roof/ceiling damages and waived fees for early terminating the contract i would pay them the monthly fees that i owed them and give them back their equipment. they turned a claim over to a collection agency for over $1000. i never paid their bogus claims and actually have a good feeling that i screwed them for over $1000 when they screwed me.

You need to take the installation company to small claims court. Most installers are contract companies that do the installs for directv. Get reimbursed for both the fix and the money directv is taking from you
