MISLEAD, MISREPRESENTED AND HOLDING NEARLY 2,000.00

I certainly should have done further research on what Sears has become. I have shopped on-line for hundreds and hundreds of living room sets as I am moving. I have looked at numerous companies and the deciding factor was Sears because of it's long and respectable All-American reputation. I called and ordered my product, asking many questions to get confirmation that the color I ordered was in fact that of my choice, (confirmed-by associate at Sears), the delivery date was the actual date I needed as I am coordinating a move, (confirmed - by associate at Sears). After sharing what I had done and excited about this being handled and off my plate, a friend suggested I call back to confirm again. In of course, reaching someone totally different which is understandable, they pulled up my account and said that neither that color nor that delivery date was confirmed. As a matter of fact I received an email the next day from a Senior VP - INRAM that one of the items was out of stock and that my account would be promptly credited the refund, that this item was cancelled.
OK, from there things went down hill fast. I cancelled my entire order. I was told that I needed to do my research, follow up with the manufacturer of the furniture to see if in fact it was cancelled or if it had been shipped. UNDERSTAND, IT WAS NOT TO BE SHIPPED UNTIL NOV 16...... I called the number and it was disconnected. I emailed using the email address SEARS PROVIDED AND IT CAME BACK, UNDELIVERABLE. I HAVE SPENT HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH A DIFFERENT PERSON EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have to start over every single day and the information I am being told is that it is not even cancelled but still in Processing.
I immediately get a ridiculous survey after the call. Are you kidding me? The survey given no ability to write anything. It is not even relevant. What has happened to SEARS??????????????
To wake once again this morning, promises again broken, lies again being told, my account is nearly $2,000.00 short. My next stop is with the Attorney General, Office of Consumer Affairs, BBB. I have had enough. If I am being treated like this and money is being held, someone is earning interest on my money and I am sure it is not me. Something has to be legally wrong here as well. There has to be a reason that SEARS IS BEING SO EVASIVE. I am so disappointed not only am I left broke but that the #1 retailer, used to be, in America has faltered.
