My wife and I flew with Turkish Airlines on 11th of Nov 2012 from LGW to Istanbul and back on the 19th of Nov.2012 from Istanbul to LGW and on both occassions I informed the cabin crew of the extreme temperature of almost 30degrees Celcius and I being a pensioner age 68 almost died with heat exhaustion
and the Airline was oblivious to Health and Safety rules for the passengers. Many of the passengers were too afraid to complain but remarked to me that they had never experienced such extremes of heat and discomfort in a plane in all their travels. I have travelled to many parts of the globe including Saudi Arabia but I have never experienced such a degree of discomfort in my life.Almost 300 people were placed in a box with no air and allow ro suffocate, this is how I felt.
My medical knowledge saved my life and I had to use TEPID SPONGING for 3 hrs to save my life and I did this by asking for a cup of water and a cloth and applied cool water to my face, back og my neck and arms.
I am so angry about this that I intend to go to the highest authority to bring my case to all concerened and to inform the general publick about the way passengers were trated on that flight. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE FOR TURKISH AIRLINES and I for one will never fly with such a diabolical and inconsiderate bunch of hopeless and useless people who have no feelings for others.  I am asking for my money back and  if I do not receive my money back I will publish this in the papers and on Twitter.
My wife almost died because her heart rate increased as a result of the extreme temperature and she became very afraid. We had to close the shutters to prevent the heat of sunlight increase the temp. even more in the plane.
