Hello,
I currently just took out a loan for my car from this company and I had received a call from there reps saying that I was late on my payment I had infomed the rep that I had set up online bill pay with my bank to make the payments. She told that my bank mail out the payments and it would be best if I go to there website and setup an automatic debit or make a payment over the the phone.I really dont know what was going on I just wanted to settle the account and get up to date with the balance so the rep put me on hold for about 20 minutes or more and then the phone got disconnected or they hung up on me so I went on there website not knowing what was going on and payed what I had owed, a few days later the same rep calls me and tells me that I need to pay my bill I mentioned that I had my bank send me a confirmation that a check was cleared for the amount due and I had also made a payment on there website.I tryied to ask the rep if she saw any of these payments and it was like I was talking someone who woke up on the wrong side of the bed, she was talking to me so unprofessionally and with a attitude the conversation escalated into a yelling match, there were threats that they know where my car is and they can get it at anytime. It was a terrible experience this company need to be put out business and anyone that is trying to take them down I am with.I do not know much about law but I want something done about this company, we as the customer should have some kind of protection against harrasment from these perticular vendors.

Although it appears they are just calling on late or missing payments, maybe calling "erroneously", the consistent pattern of abuse and harassment against their customers suggests planning and intent. Maybe they are just trying to "enhance" their income with early payments, or they might be tacking on fake "late fees" under cover of this "confusion" over "missing payments".
If you just financed a loan through them, you can expect more of the same for the life of the loan.
You may need to establish a more orderly "business relationship", maybe give them a little "attitude adjustment".
Contact a consumer attorney. You can find one in your state through www.naca.net
If you are mailing in payments, you might want to send them certified (not return receipt requested).
The post office will scan the bar code at delivery, and you can track their receipt on the USPS website.
If they are playing "late payment fee" games, you can collect evidence of that.
You might also contact the car dealer who set you up with this nightmare.
He probably got a commission or kickback for sending you to them. You probably paid for that kickback through a higher rate than you might otherwise have had through a decent lender like a credit union.
Tell him to stop their harassing and abusive calls, over payments they have already received, and if it doesn't stop, file Yelp and BBB complaints against both of them. See if you can get a local consumer reporter interested in it also.
As it is, it pays him to subject his customers to this. If it started costing him, he might look at it differently, and it would start costing this nightmare lender new business.
