Poor design

For the record, over the years I have owned many Maytag appliances and have left them with the home we were selling as a feature (we tend to buy the home in a neighborhood that needs a little TLC and rehab it.) I had a bad experience in our last home with my Neptune washer. Now in the current home, we have a very nice looking high end Maytag dishwasher that has experienced the exact same failure, and it is only 4 years old. This dishwasher has a "steam clean" feature and the repairman tells me it is the steam that causes the failure! Neither time has the repair been covered by Maytag. Very disappointing and the last Maytag I will ever purchase. Hate to say it, but also casts a dim shadow upon their parent company Whirlpool. This is my last repair on this dishwasher, it will be replaced with a quality machine made by Bosch or Asko
