Occuring CG charges in London in rented EV by Europcar

Beware when renting electrical vehicles from Europcar to drive around London! Seemingly not all electrical vehicles in Europcar's fleet are registred with "Transport for London" for exemption of the Congestion Charge. The customer is not notify upon reservation of an electric vehicle that it is the customer's responsibility to register the rental electrical car with "Transport for London" himself in order to drive into the Congestion Charge zones without occuring penalty payments.
Europcar's Customer Services refuses to pay penalty charges for their unregistered electrical rental cars and the customer has the inconvenience to contact "Transport for London" direclty to have the charges cancelled. Europcar also claims it is not their policy to inform customers during the reservation process about registing the electrical vehicle themself when planning driving in Congestion Charge zones.
Exceptional bad customer service indeed when considering that renting electrical vehicles from other rental companies and driving into congestion charge zones are without any further issues.
Please consider checking all electrical vehicle renting requirements when using Europcar ...or better go straight to another rental car company and e ensured about the complete service.
