I received a call from the bank on 01/07/08 informing me that my bank account had been compromised. The DRI* company posted $79.95 amount to my account. I do not know of this company and did not authorize such purchase.

Unauthorized debit card purchase was made on 01/07/2010 and not 2008. This is so wrong to take money from someone's account. Especially when someone like me live from payday to payday. Correction if any takes 10 to 15 days leaving me with less or no money to pay authorized actions.

Dispute all fraudulent charges immediately through your bank, and close and block your card number to prevent additional fraud.  Follow up by disputing IN WRITING, sending your dispute to your bank's dispute address from your statement, and make sure they receive your written dispute within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge to preserve your FRB Reg. E dispute rights.

The company appears to be a legitmate developer and seller of anti-spyware and anti-virus products, but also appears to allow on-line purchases with downloaded delivery, using DRI as their payment processor.  This may make them a target for use of stolen credit and debit card numbers.

Do you routinely use debit cards, check cards, or provide your checking account number for "phone checks"?

If so, STOP!  Block all debit or check cards.

In case of fraud, they present a risk of loss due to overdraft fees and bounced legitimate payments from your checking account, even when you get your money back.

Use ONLY credit cards for on-line or retail purchases, to minimize your risk of loss in cases of fraud.  Use checks ONLY for payments to companies you already know and trust, such as rent, mortgage, utilities, banks.  Use ATM cards requiring a PIN ONLY at your bank's own ATM machine.

I also had $9.95 and $59.95 on the same day and I wrote a letter to my Visa account and had to get a notarized letter to send back to them to dispute the claim. It is a big hassle that many would not take the time to go through, SAD "WE" have to put up with it. w=H isn't something done to stop them

this is a complete scam! i've never even heard of kaspersky.com before and they took 9.95 and 59.95 in unauthorized charges from my account! how are they still up and running?  they have been doing this for about a year now.. so i've seen online after researching them. i called to get some help and my estimated wait time is 20 minutes.  i called another number the automated voice gave out and was on the line for 10 minutes without one person speaking to me. this is a giant run-around scam.
the website also says that they won an award for email security from homeland security. this is [***]. they need to be stopped!!! is the government behind this?

They got up to 867.24 off of me before i recognized it.  There were several more outside the DRIKASPERSKY charges which leades me to believe that they are merely the vessel for the real crooks.  It ashame that there are people out there like this.

I just noticed DRI is Digital River.  AT&T uses Digital River and I have my phone with them but never had this problem before.  Two days ago I ordered Pizza from Domino's online and noticed they used Digital River so I am guessing that was the transaction.

DRI = Digital River.  They process orders for tons of stores, so you might not remember what you bought or where, but it includes AT&T, Domino's, and hundreds of other companies.

Now, if your card info was stolen by some group of hackers, or your family, they can buy whatever from whoever.

Folks buy digital products, then resell them on ebay / amazon.  Easy way to make real cash twice.

    To Whom It May Concern.
I recently purchased ($34.95) a new License for my virus protection program on my PC. When I tried to download I realized that it was the program designed for a mobile phone. I went ahead and canceled it and bought the right one this time for $69.95. However you charged me for both. Please correct this error and credit me for $ 34.95. Thanking you in advance, I remain
    Yours sincerely,

They may have sold decent anti-virus products a few years ago, but the version I bought was appalling. I had to disable the anti-virus in order to access various legit websites, including logging in to my bank account. The 'safe browser' and 'safe keyboard' wouldn't work at all in firefox, even though kaspersky's forums were full of complaints (a year later they still hadn't fixed the problems).

I also repeatedly emailed them to cancel auto-renewal to the anti-virus (because it was so bad), got no assistance with that and then they still took payment of £36. It's the worst anti-virus software I've ever had and they have took the piss by then trying to renew my licence for another 2 years against mu wishes.

Just opened my statement to find my MC had been charged $45.40 by DRI Kapersky.com    I contacted the credit card co. to advise them.  I haven't had Internet on my computer for three months, so have not needed AV protection!

Looks like this has been going on for a few years at least now.

Just got my Visa bill with an unauthorized charge of $59.99 on it from DRI*KAPERSKY.COM.  The phone number was suspicious (952-908-4089).  I have heard 9xx numbers charge a fee to your phone bill.  I have never given Kapersky my credit card info.  Kapersky has always been purchased at WalMart.

Could Kapersky's program be finding out my credit card numbers when I buy products on line?  If so, it's ironic protection software itself is dangerous.
