INSURANCE WAS GOING TO CANCEL SO I NEVER RENEWED IT WENT TO ANOTHER COMPANY.I WAS NEVER SENT ANY NOTICES THAT MONEY WAS OWED AN THEN I GET A NOTICE THAT MY CREDIT SCORE CHANGED FOR LACK OF PAYMENT. I THEN CALLED MY OLD INSURANCE COMPANY TO FIND OUT IF I DID OWE ANY MONEY, WHEN THEY EXPLAINED IT TO ME THAT I DID I PAID IT RIGHT THEN AN THERE !!!!!!!!!! DONT THIS IS FAIR THAT MY SCORE DROPPED SINCE I NEVER GOT ANY NOTICES OF MONEY. IM TRYING VERY HARD TO MANTAIN A DECECNT CREDIT SCORE. PLEASE HELP

    If you maintained insurance through another carrier that covered you in place of your first carrier's cancelled policy, you might not have owed anything to the first carrier for the "overlap in coverage".

    Contact your state insurance commissioner.  Get your first insurer to correct their records, refund your money, and retract the account from NCO.  That will force NCO to remove it from your credit report.
