Accepted their offer of a 14 day free trial. (Just pay postage). The product was of no use to me.
Next thing I know I get a pkg from them. Like a dope I opened it.
Called their office & sed I didn't want it. They gave me a code to put on the package authorizing the return.
I put it in the mail. About 10 days later the Post Office returned it to me. Seems if you open the pkg you
have toi pay postage to return it. Took it to the P.O. that day , paid the postage.  In the meantime a charge
of $42.37 appeared on my bank statement for the unwanted pkg. I called Peak Life and they said they hadn't received my return but would send me a refund once they received the pkg. On advice I found on Google I cancelled my debit card so they couldn't continue to send me stuff I don't want . My bank has tried to get them to reverse the $42.37 charge but they got stonewalled. Something about Peak Life wouldn't even talk to them unless I was in the room. My bank is in MA; I'm in FL.

Profile  is typical of a cramming scam.  Most o these "14 day free trial for just postage" are cramming scams.

Immediately contact your bank to dispute the charges as fraudulent, and shut down your account or block your card number to prevent further fraud and theft.  Your bank can reverse the charges if you dispute promptly, under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.

Your bank does not require their permission to reverse the charge.  All they need is your written dispute.  Insist that they send you a fraud affidavit to sign and return.  That should be sufficent for them to reverse the charge.

File fraud complaints with FTC and your state Attorney General.  File a mail fraud complaint with the US Postal Inspector.   (Mail fraud includes use of either US Mail or a common carrier, like UPS or FedEx, in a fraudulent scheme)
