Unwanted

I received a call from 269.768.2624 and the young woman proceeded to tell me about a prior purchase I had made with my credit card and that I had won free gas. I attempted to interupt her several times and she just kept right on talking as if I were not on the other line. I called the number back and left a message that I most certainly did not want whatever product they were selling and to NOT send me anything.

Pattern matches common fraudulent "free gas" phishing scams.
Christmas time is prime season for cramming fraud, since it is easier to sneak through low value charges among higher levels of consumer purchases.
Most likely there is no connection with any credit card purchase, although in some cases scam merchants do illegally sell their customer billing information to such scams, who then use it to call phishing for just some statement they can claim is an "authorization" for cramming charges to an account or card number they already have.
If you find fraudulent charges on your account statement, immediately contact your bank to dispute the fraudulent charges, and close the account or block the card number to prevent additional fraudulent charges.
If they said anything to lead you to believe they alredy had part of your card number, such as the last 4 digits of the card number, contact your bank immediately to block the card.
