Scam collection call

Got a call on my cell looking for my husband - they also called his brother the day before.  Said he took out a loan at some quick cash payday place - I asked him to verifiy the origination date of this loan and he said August 8, 2008.  I asked him to repeat that - he did.  I told him that I happen to know that my husband could NOT have walked into a payday loan place that day because on that exact date (and around 8 am) he was busy being transported by helicopter to a Dallas hospital after a very serious injury.  He was hospitalized for 2 weeks.  And the days before that, we weren't even in the state and I assured him that I can verify that.  Hmmm.  The guy said, "My, you have an impeccable memory."  I told him that's something you're not likely to forget - it was a life-changing event.   I told him that if I find out that someone took out a loan in my husband's name, I'll call him back.  He gave me a direct extension and said his name was Jeff O'Brien.  He was not rude - but didn't pursue it any further either.
