It's a shakedown scam..
They have lots of similar complaints. Their threats violate FDCPA, which prohibits debt collectors from making threats they can't or don't carry out. They can't "freeze" your accounts. File fraud complaints with FTC, your state AG, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
