Insurance Coverage Scam

We rented a car at Seattle International Airport (SEATAC), which charges excessive prices to begin with, no matter the agency. In this case, I explicitly stated I did not want the insurance coverage. The attendant then passed the agreement to me, requesting a number of initials and signatures. As we were running a little late, I did not examine each highlighted block on the form. It cost me $138 for that oversight, as one of the blocks was for the coverage. When I received the final receipt in the mail, the quoted original price was that amount over. I called EZ customer service and was told, essentially, you should have read the contract!
