I had my hair done in Aug 18, 2008 at Regis 4750 North Division
Spokane, WA 99207. I brought a photo of the haircut I always get. I told the stylist to trim only 1 inch. I ended up with very choppy, not blended hair that was cut off over 2 inches! It looked like when a young child attempts to cut their own hair. I returned the next day requesting another stylist to fix it and she ended up trimming my hair even more to try to remove the "shelves" and trimmed my bangs - which I had never had before - uneven where one side was 3/4 an inch longer! I returned the next day, receiving a full refund and proceeded to Fantastic Sam's where they did fix it the best they could with what they had to work with. In the end my hair is over 3 inches shorter and I have short bangs! I had to purchase a new curling iron since my barrel was too large for my new only  3 - 7 inches of choppy layers. I have NEVER had such a horrific haircut in my 30 years of professional stylists. As I am telling my story to other people, they have told me of their own bad experience with Regis Salons. While she was styling my hair some young man came in wanting a haircut. He specified to have Lindsey but was told she did not have time for a walk-in. He insisted on her so they told him to come back at 4:15. My color, cut, style and waxing began at 2:00. She finished at 3:45. I suspect she hurried so she would have time to trim this handsome young man whom many of the stylists apparently knew. My family will never use Regis again and I will tell my story to anyone willing to hear it. I have more faith in the abilities of a professional at Great Cuts, Fantastic Sam’s and the like than the unprofessional stylist your corporation employs.

AT LEAST YOU GOT A REFUND.
My 92 year old Mom wanted a Permanent in her hair for Christmas.  I took her to Fantastic Sams located at 1524 W. University Blvd. in Jacksonville, FL on Saturday, December 19, 2009.
I asked that TheY give Mom a “curly” perm and was showen me two rod sizes and asked which one I wanted used. I chose the smaller grey ones for she wanted an easy care hairdo with lots of curls.

they wet her hair (no shampoo) and after the perm prepared to cut her hair. I said that I was not a hairdresser so I needed advice about the cut… tell me whether or not a blunt-cut, with the hair length to come to the bottom of her ears, would give us the desired curly style.  I was assured that it would.

By the next morning it was obvious that the Perm did not take at all, Mom’s hair was poker straight, so on Monday morning we went back in the shop.

There were two different operators in the shop when we returned and they looked up Mom’s records and said that “They must have done something wrong with that perm.”  It was finally decided that perhaps her hair should have shampooed before Perming.
Both operators said that they would RE-DO Mom’s hair for her.  They did, this time using tiny PINK rods, to get the desired CURL.  As Mom was finished and getting out of the chair a woman who claimed to be the “MANAGER” came storming into the shop in an aggresive and agitated state and confronted me saying “THIS PERM IS NOT GOING TO BE FREE,” and that I was going "TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE SECOND PERM”

She claimed that I had “Asked for the grey rods” and that I had “Asked for the blunt-cut.”
Neither claim is correct.  Somehow, according to her, this was supposed to be the reason the Perm did not take in Mom’s hair.

The only reason I allowed them to Re-Perm Mom’s hair is because they had indicated to us that they would make the first perm good.

Before I could get out of that shop this “Manager” embarrassed both me and my Mom and had been very verbally abusive….she had called me both a liar and a thief.

When I went to the front desk to pay AGAIN for this perm (AS DEMANDED) so I could get out of there, this “Manager” came stomping up to me and demanded in a loud voice “YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO WALK OUT WITHOUT PAYING ME, DON’T YOU?”

On Saturday I paid $55.00 for the Perm and on the following Monday I paid $45.00 for the second Perm.

    Ouch!
Regis was my favorite place to go for many years! 12+. I would never consider anyone else!
Yesterday, I went to a person that was not my regular stylist (I have done this before too) for just a bang trim and a deep conditioning treatment. I love the deep conditioning treatments! They are so relaxing. The best treatment for someone that needs to de-stress! Plus after suffering a misscarage and finally getting pregnent again ....what a treat...for all the many years the stylist would always make me feel relaxed! Well my view of this place has forever changed as of yesterday!!!!
The stylist (never seen her before) was in a crappy mood and took it all out on me!!! AND OUCH!!!
She burned me with the hot water  and the to extreme cold! Had nails that were so long that they were poking into my scalp and she pulled on my hair and treated me like crap!  I was in so much pain I  could barely drive home. My husband looked at my scalp for blood. I took some major pain killers and still had a headache! Talk about abuse! I spent my whole day off in pain!  I will never return to any place related to Regis!
