I'm complaining about Sears Repair on Refrigerators. They told me the service call would be 65.00. The repairman replaced a 1/4" plastic tubing for my ice maker and charged me 161.00. What for 5 mins of work and no parts??

Then when he pushed the refrigerator back against the wall it left holes in my linoleum, now they are refusing to fix the damage. I have left over linoleum and all I want is it to be fixed, not replaced.

We both are retired and believe me we don't have a lot of money. Thanks Sears for damage that you won't fix. What about the 161.00 dollars, I probably could get a whole new floor for that?

Regrets for ever calling Sears Repair Service.

why did your line need to be replaced?   i thought you said no parts?  how can anyone think that a company can come to a house and fix anything for 65.00?  how bout the transportation, the fuel, the tech, the parts, the call center employees, the insurance.  All those things cost money, as for the floor damage, that should be taken care of, but im sure the tech told you up front how much the charges would be before they started and im sure you agreed. if i cant fix something myself and have to pay for it, i have two options except the estimate and have the work done, or look elsewhere,  i cant complain that i dont make enough money after i gave someone an ok to fix something.

the floor damage should not have happened and should be taken care of by Sears, as for the tubing you paid him for what he knew to do not what he did

I bought an Carrier HVAC system from Sears in 2008.  It quit working last November.  The unit is still under warranty.  Sears finally contracted someone to look at my system and found the compressor had gone out.  My first question is why the compressor went out on a system that is not even 5 years old.  Apparently, the NPL warranty I purchased was only good for the first year after which they charge for the labor.  They didn't tell me this when I purchased the warranty.  So I authorized the $250.00 labor charge and my compressor was finally replaced June 7th, 2012.  It worked for 2 days.  I have been dealing with Sears ever since trying to get someone back out to take another look at it.  No one has been back but they are thinking it's the thermostat and want another $165.00 to send someone back out to replace the thermostat.  How can they know what it is without even looking at it again?  Why didn't someone fix this the first time?  Why am I being charged AGAIN when the unit was not fixed correctly on the last $250.00 labor charge?  And why is Sears spending all of this energy trying to fix a unit that is obviously faulty instead of acting like the reputable company they profess to be and replacing the unit?  I wouldn't buy another thing from Sears if they were the last department store on Earth.  Their service stinks and their products stink.
