I recently purchase a high efficiencty Whhirlpool Washer over the internet.  I was not fully apraised of the operation and I am very unhappy with it.

It is not possible to determine how much water the machine uses.  For this reason it is impossible to correctly apportion the correct quantites of soap, bleach, or other additives.  It is even impossible to determine how much water the machine adds during any time of the operation.

My liquid soap cup can not be washed out with washer water because the lid locks and hence it runs down the side of the soap container.

I wish I had been informed of this before I purchased, and well, I wish that I never purchased it at all.

As anyone knows it is impossible to discuss this with Whirlpool.  But maybe there is nothing they could do anyway.

    Whirlpool's consumer assistance center number is 1 800 253 1301. make sure you have your model and serial number and puchase date. remember you will get alot further being nice then calling up and being upset.

    with the new washers coming on the market today, you must change the way you approach the processes. read lables, and bottle instructions. load your machine 2/3 to 3/4 full with dry clothes. use 1/2 cap of high effeciency detergent in h.e. machines. fill your bleach and softener dispencer's to just below the max fill indicator lines. the washer will do all the work. it will add water until your clothes are saturated, then a few gallons more.
       A few other important things are;
    -leave door / lid, and dispencer drawer (if equiped) open when not in use to keep mildew from growing inside washer.
    -use the clean washer cycle 1 time every 2 mos. (read owners manual)
    -put a surge protector on the washer. it has electronics just like a home computer.
    -use a garment bag for small items
