Hello,
My husband and I recent signed a membership with Direct Buy, soon after did some research and found out this membership was not for us. Sent a letter of cancellation to Sunnyvale TX Direct Buy, finance company and corporate office in IN. Please do you have any other advise? Need help.

There is no reason for "financing" a "membership" other than to put a barrier in the way of cancelling, or to just ignore your cancellation, and have some debt collector come along years later demanding payment for some "loan". Basically the same scam as health club membership contracts.
Send any letters certified, return receipt requested. Keep copies for the rest of your life, or at least past the 7.5 year FCRA reporting limit, or state written contract SOL, whichever is longer.
If they made material misrepresentations in their sales pitch, get an attorney and sue them now. Use settlement of your lawsuit as a bargaining chip to nullify the contract and financing.
Above all, give up your money, and you can kiss it good bye.
In short, expect that they will behave agressively, so do so preemptively yourself. Don't take sh*t, or that is what you will get.
Your comment on financing is crap.
Business use finance companies because they need the money up front to run their businesses, pay employees, rent, equipment cost and leases, utilities etc.
I would like to see if you would think the same way if your employer told you - you only get $9 each month because the customer wants to pay over 5 years.
I bet when you sell your home you will want the money, not collect it bit at a time over 30 years.
There is no shortage of stupidity available on the internet.
