$1000 gift card scam

I received a text that I had won a $1000 gift card from Best Buy and to go to a website and put in code and win. I did because I had filled out a online survey to win one. The only thing I thought was a little strange was I had to purchase something. It wasn't much and I can use it I guess but I should have ignored it. This bothers me because I always think it's a scam but I had filled out a survey. Now I will never fill one out because you get caught up in this mess and the companies shouldn't allow this. Don't fill out ANY surveys, they are all scams!!!
