Recieved call from 214-377-5991 saying it was my grandson who had been in an auto accident in california. Was cited and in jail. Had an attorney that was helping him. Attorney indicated needed $75,000 same day or grandson would be jailed for 2 months. Contacted grandson in the Carolinas same day.

Subsriber obviously using this number to scam people.

Hi! I felt obligated to post because I got a call like that, too. I'm a happily un-married woman with no husband and kids but this man who claimed his name was Officer Perkins, called up and said my grandson has been arrested for drunk-driving and presently detained in Mexico. I almost laughed when he said I should send money for his bail immediately or he'd be brought to court and it'd be more difficult to settle by then.

I knew he was a scammer right away, but I played along and excused myself "to get my credit card upstairs." Then I placed him on hold, made an outgoing call on line 2 and dialed the local police department's phone number, then transferred the call. Hahaha!

By the way, I looked up the phone number through Google just now and this page: http://www.callercenter.com/214-377-5991.html came up. Looks like this is one hard-working scammer. Wow!

We get 4-8 calls from this number each day at work and they ask for random people whom I have never heard of. I quizzed the guy once and asked him for his number so this supposed person could call him back if, by chance, we got disconnected.  He gave me 206-203-7316, which always rings busy.  There does not seem to be a purpose to their calls.  If you say you are that person, they hang up.    Makes no sense.

438-931-1329 This number called my Grandmother indicating that I was arrested in Greece and need bailed out. The caller happened to know specific names of family and friends. Luckily My Grandmother did not send any money. Nonetheless, please be aware!

They called with my name and asked me to confirm it.  I was expecting a call at that time so I indicated yes and they hung up.

Got a call from the same number with a computerized voice saying my debit card from Araphoe Credit Union was placed on a security hold due to fraudulent activity and to press 1 to be transferred to the security department.  I don't use Arapahoe Credit so I figured it was a scam and hung up.

He called a business number I would never have given out and asked for me.  After he was transferred he hung up. He told the person who answered the phone that he was from the post office.
