I am filling this out on behalf of my mother who is 87 and has my older brother living with her who is handicapped. I was staying with my brother while my mother ran errands and while there I received a phone call from the following number and name: 876-528-8688 with the name Jim Kingston on the caller ID. The man on the other end was NOT AMERICAN, although his name was quite American, David Parker. He said that my mother has won $1.5 million and a brand new Mercedes Benz from Publisher's Clearing House. He wanted to know if she had received a previous phone call and if she had a bank account. I told him that was none of his business and told him to loose her name and number. He wanted to know where my mother was and why I was so rude. I told him that I didn't appreciate him trying to scam my elderly mother and it was not any of his business where she was. He was so offended because I did not believe him so he gave me the following phone number, 888-843-6347 and said that it was his Headquarters. He told me to call the number and reference ticket #259US, his name, David Parker, and Badge #0054. I called the number and got a recording, none of which said anything about PCH Headquarters, and it told me to leave a message. I left my mother's name and number; previous callers name, badge number and ticket number given to me and told them to call me back asap. I waited a little while and decided to call the Jim Kingston number back to see who answered. It was "David Parker" so he said. He remember talking to me (imagine that). I asked, "Do you know whose name is suppose to show on my caller ID with the number you are calling from?" He asked, "What name is on it?" I said, "That's what I'm asking you." He said, "No, I'm asking you." I said, "You need to tell me now what name is associated with this number!" He finally said, "It's my phone number. My name, David Parker, is associated and shown on your caller ID with this number." I said, "You're wrong! The name David Parker does not show anywhere on my caller ID with this number." He asked, "What name is on it?" I said, "I'm not telling you because you will use it to call someone else and try to scam them. I am calling my local police department, filing a report and contacting the Better Business Bureau in my state and on the federal level, as well. I don't want you to call this number ever again! You are a liar, a cheat, and a (click sound) thief. Hello, hello, hello; are you still there?" Apparently, he didn't like what I said to him so he hung up on me that time. Do not fall for this! It's a shame that these sorry people exists in the world, preying on the innocent and most of all the elderly.

    fake PCH scam..
These scams have been reported to originate from Kingston Jamaica, which is area code 876.  They often prey on the elderly, trying to scam them out of money to supposedly get some "prize"..

I thank you people for taking the time to post these complaints/comments. I just received a call from this David Parker. Being very skeptical of the call, I looked up his name and PCH and found this site. I immediately hung up.
