long wait/ hold to credit card

I had a 9am reservation 04/20/2009 i called them at 9:30 saying I'd be at the repair shop and I needed a pick up they said how long will it take for you to get there i said 15 minutes he said ok. I waited till 10minutes to 10am to call back. Another guy said I have to see if the driver left if hasn't left will send out. Now mind you this place is just down the street. My husband calls and ask whats going on they said they should be pulling up in five minutes. Now its 10:38am enterprise calls the shop says the driver went somewhere else and forgot to pick me up. So he's coming back out and they finally picked me up. I called enterprise before to ask them would I need anymore money to pay they said no I get to the counter and the guy says we have to hold $250 on your credit card well if I would have know I would put more on my credit card all I had was the amount for the rental. I was so upset I had to hold on my debit card and if anyone has rented from Enterprise before knows it takes a long time for that money to be released. I can't stand renting from them!!!
