I purchased a shower curtain from Bed Bath Store online at the end of March 2009. To date I have not received it. I have called and left messages ( no human has ever been available) 12 times and emailed them 18 times. I have received 1 email apologizing for the delay about 2 months ago.

BBB report. No reason given why they didn't rate them, unless they are about to change the report.

They appear to have responded to about half of their BBB complaints.
Many reports allege that they charge consumers before they ship, and then either nothing arrives, or they ship the wrong items and consumers have problems getting refunds.
Best response is to dispute their charges through your credit card company. Do NOT use any other form of payment than credit card, since fraud protections are stronger. Be sure to do not let the 60 day FCBA dispute period expire (from the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge), or your bank may not reverse the charges. Follow up with a WRITTEN dispute to your bank, and make sure they receive it in less than the 60 days to invoke your federal FCBA dispute rights.
Any merchant should be able to provide you with the shipment date and tracking number within a day or two of charging your card for an order. If they can't or won't, something is wrong. If you have not received the products within 2 weeks of being charged, you want either a tracking number tp find where it is in shipment, or the product has not been shipped and it is time to contact your credit card company to dispute the charges.
In general, merchants should not be charging credit cards before the product is shipped. This is a violation of the MasterCard and VISA merchant agreements, and exposes consumers to the risk of fraud and loss. Do NOT allow the 60 day dispute window to expire without contacting your credit card company to dispute charges for erroneous or undelivered merchandise, or you will get stuck.
