Please tell me how to stop calls from a collection agency for my husband's ex girlfriend. I have told these people repeatedly to stop the calls, she has not lived at this address in over 3 years. I even went so far as to find her phone number and give it to them. I have been told several times our number would be deleted from their data base but obviously not since I just received yet another call. When confronted, these people have both cursed me and told me I was a liar and to pay my ----'ing bills and they would stop calling. This upsets me to know end and is a real health hazard to my husband having terminal cancer, stress can aggravate and accelerate his cancer and knowing this I am at my wits end. Please HELP!!!!

By your complaint, they are engaged in harassing and abusive collection in violation of FDCPA, as well as violations of TCPA, even though neither of you are the actual debtor they claim to be trying to contact.
You don't need to be dealing with this BS, especially over an alleged debt neither of you owe, when you are dealing with your husband's health.
They have already shown they will ignore all requests to cease harassing you. Pass the matter off to an attorney, to review suing under FDCPA and TCPA. This will probably get them to cease immediately, while they try to defend themselves from damage claims and pretend they weren't doing anything. Both laws allow courts to award actual and statutory damages, as well as attorney fees, if you win, so attorneys have incentive to take such cases on contingency.
