On Monday, April 10th I received a voicemail from Rudy with National processing stating there has been a legal action filed against me. He stated I would be served and gave an address. He provided a document number that started with CV. The number he called from was 813-738-8449. He said to call 877-319-0441 if I will not be at that address to receive service. Yesterday, Tuesday, April 11th I received a text message with audio message attached from my ex-brother in-law. His message said he received this voicemail for me. This time Rudy was from Nationwide Legal Services. The message was exactly the same providing my name, address, document number and specified that it was a legal action against me. I called the 877-319-0441 phone number and asked what this was about. The women who answered tried to gather and verify name, date of birth, address. I told her I would not provide any information until I was informed as to what this was about. I also told her my ex-brother in-law was contacted, she seemed surprised. She said she needed to walk to the next office to see if my claim was still there and I was placed on a long hold. She came back and asked for my information again, I told her again that I would not provide any information until I was made aware of what this was about. She then told me I was being sued for failure to pay for a payday loan from 2009. I told her that is ridiculous as there is no such payday loan and 2009 was 14 years ago! She said there is no statute of limits for this. She asked again for my address to serve me, I told her I would not be providing any information. She said they would pursue serving me elsewhere. Today Wednesday, April 12th I received a text message with audio message attached from my daughter stating all the same information and that her number was on file as a contact. This is crazy! A Bogus payday loan from 14 years ago and they are calling ex and current family members of mine. This is awful and a violation of my privacy.
