Please be careful. This is some kind of scam. These people will harrass you for your info. They tell you that your ad is about to expire. When questioned they put you on hold. The number that shows up on caller id is no longer in service when you call back!

They are running a "directory listing" scam, targetting small businesses and non-profits, generally trying to con people out of amounts of around $400.

They are reported to deceptively claim they are calling to "renew" an ad the business allegedly already has been running.  Reports of attempts to deceptively obtain and record "authorizations" from any employee who answers the phone.  In some cases they claim businesses owe them for ads they already ran for the last year.  Recordings may be doctored, clipped, deceptively obtained, or misrepresented.  There are also reports of cramming monthly charges, typically around $30, onto phone bills  through LEC billing aggregators.

They call us 10 to 12 times a day.  Refuse to take no for an answer!  When told to quit calling they say they have every right to call because we still owe them for last year.  Well, (duh?) If we "owe" you why are you asking us to renew?

Does anyone know what I can do to get these "overseas" yellow page scammers to quit calling me about updating my ad?  I an a small business and have to keep answering the phone when they call, up to 3 times a day.  I have told them to take me off their list and now they call everyday and hang up.
