Rubbish Customer Service

Tried to book a flight online. It said that something went wrong on their end and to try later which I did for two days.

So I tried to get some help. The chat bot of course naturally completely useless.

Tried the 1800 number but you need a booking number which since I was having difficulty giving them my business in the first place and making a booking I did not have. It then just kept looping the same requirement in all categories for a booking number. Completely useless.

Tried to call corporate office in the hope someone there could direct me onwards to a technical support (doubt they have one)

Again it was a dead end. When you make a selection (even for a vendor), it will not recognise the demanded input. Ridiculous. How do they do business?

Absolutely shambolic.

This is of course endemic in MOST of corporate America where they prefer to remain anonymous throw their customers into never ending circles rather than resolve to help people who are looking to give them business.

At least for some companies, there are overseas call centers which are almost just as bad, people who may want to be helpful but which will be instructed to throw you into another never ending circle which brings you back to square one...I'm looking at you Blue Cross which gave us a ridiculously difficult time 5 years back when my wife was going thru cancer and urgently needed a meds. It was a life and death situation but they did not care in slightest. You just get redirceted to another 1800 number which brings you eventually back to the same call centre in the Philippines

Absolutely awful US service these days.

Expedia if they value their business should look into this but likely they won't give a toss.
