I received 2 calls.  The first one was an Lady with a India type accent, saying I was "randomly" chosen to receive 7,000.00 free money. The caller ID said the number was restricted. She said I would not have to pay back... I interrupted her with a laugh and a "ya right".  She hung up. That was about a week ago.   Today I received another call from a man, same type of accent. Said he was from Washington DC.  The phone number was 265-587-5242.  This time free $9,000.00.  I let him ramble on, couldn't understand half  of what he was saying, the accent was so heavy. I took down the "ID number" IQ220, I would need to collect my money, and the phone number 202-854-9053 to set up which Western Union to have the money sent to.  He had my last name as my first and visa versa.  He seemed pretty happy by the end of the call that he thought he had an idiot on the end of the line of.

    Riiiiiiiiiight!  It is NOT a US area code, but is a country code for a location in Africa....

         End of story....

    same call from 265-587-5242 promising $9000 from washington dc. I called the number told to call to arrange payment. That number is 202-905-0528. They hung up on me when I told them this was a scam and that I would contact the FBI.

    Same number called me. Tried to call it back but will not go through. Thanks everyone for heads up.

    these ppl have called me like 4 times.. ion know if they i caught on lol. I have sholarships and grants, so i know wtf is up. I asked for documentation and she said i cnt provide you with any. she then said im wasting her time and mines. i wish i could smack her infront of her husband and father....DONT FALL FOR IT

    Recevied a call today form Joe Anderson @ 265=587-5242 About federal grant Free from the Goverment. in the amout of 9000.00 He says the Money comes from the Federal Bank of Calf. From Amerian Recovery Reinvestment Act. from 2009. He told me to call 202 905 0528 spke with Ellen Rose. She said I need to send 250. First before I will get my $9000., This is a Scam... If the goverment wants to send me MONEY, Then Send it to Me FREE.....Or Deduct  the 250, first ..Bu i'M NOT SENDING  DIME............

    Same type of scam - India Indian heavy accent -  that I had been randomly selected to receive $9000 from a federal grant and that it was absolutely free.  He told me that I would not have to pay any of the money back - yeah, right!  I was at work, so I quickly interrupted him and very rudely told him that he was a lying SOB & to never contact me again

    Yep... They tried to get me too. Thanks for all the scam reports on this blog. I don't think Donald Trump would approve of a person that couldn't speak English any better than that to be passing out United States Government checks. LOL I got the same ID# and phone# as others. Its a scam.

    Received a call today from a lady with an accent calling from 646-357-1923 and she told me that I had $9000 coming to me because I have no criminal background and I qualify for this money that I do not have to pay back. She gave me a confirmation # PR202. The area code is Brooklyn, NY.  She wanted me to call right back and talk to a manager who will release the money to moneygram (walmart). She did not ask me for any money and she gave me her name  ASHLEY (could be false).

    They are now using a real Washington DC aria code (202) 854-9053 still saying you are selected for a $9,000 govt grant SCAM
