Constant unsolicited calls

Just called the FTC. They took my information, including my list of phone numbers (when available) for the past year, since I keep a record. They also had me call my state AG office, but they said these calls were originating offshore, so they have no jurisdiction. I never contacted these folks for any service, have in the last few months spoken on occasion with a person and told them to remove my name from their call list, but they hang up before I even finish speaking. Hmm. Wonder about connecting then just setting down the phone. Might tie up some lines?
