I stopped by Newnan Georgia, Kay Jewelers, to have my one carat engagement ring inspected to keep my warranty on it valid. A guy was standing in the store do I proceeded to him to see if he could help me. I did not have the paper work, but it was not a problem the last time I stopped in that same store. The worker asked me if I knew the date of purchase. I stated in May of 2011, he stated I can't help you if you don't know the exact date. I stated, "the last time I stopped in two women helped me and it was not a problem." The worker never attempted to move toward the cash register to type any information in. He then stated, " did you buy it from this store?" I stated. "No but last time that was not a problem as I had it inspected here once before." He then, just looked at me and said "I need the exact purchase date". I then took my ring out of his hand and said"I have never had this problem before, but I will take my ring to the Kay Jewelers in LaGrange Georgia as they never give me any problem". I walked out of the store with my ring. I was standing out in the area in front of Dillard's when the store manager(a guy) walked out, asked me was I just in his store. I stated yes, and he got ugly with me stating his guy was doing his job. Not once did he have any thing to say to me "the customer". I had to ask the manager to get out of my fade and not to ever follow me out of the store again. He finally walked away, but this made me very uncomfortable. My fiancé is Billy Wright and e buy all of our jewelry from Kay Jewelers, but I will NEVER GO VACK TO THE NEWNAN STORE AGAIN.
