Not spinning leaving clothes saturated

Only worked for 2 years, now having nonstop issues with it not spinning.  Only worked on bulky cycle for the past month.  I thought it was a balance issue but tried smaller even loads and still experienced same issue.  Now not spinning at all and after reading about all the issues other people have had, I'm not spending $ to have a repairman out just to tell me it needs replaced.  Going to purchase a basic workhorse machine.  This is the 2nd (non agitator in middle) type machine we've had to replace in last 5 years.
