I just got a new land line, and the very first call I get was "Please stay on the line this is your card service company". The hook was baited, and I continued with the call. The person on the other end of the line, then asked me if I was in $3,000 or more in debt. I said no. Then I asked him who he was and he hung up on me. I can understand if they had the wrong number, but, no, they called me back the next week, only I didn't continue with the call. There has to be something Qwest Communications do to trace these calls, with out the expense coming out of my pocket. I registered my new telephone number, with the National Do Not Call Number. https://www.donotcall.gov/

They match the pattern of fraudulent telemarketers running a "debt negotiation" scam.  Their aim is generally to con consumers out of hundreds of dollars.

File Do Not Call complaints with FTC.

They have called our house our cell phones and it is everyday and they hang up when you ask to talk to someone. There must something we can do to make them stop.
