Cancel due to medical and moving

So I sent in my cancelation form and my training cancelation form and got an email about the training, but not the membership. I let it slide thinking maybe the one email is suppose to mean cancelation for both. I was needing to cancel due to my mom being in the hospital and me moving out of state where no LA Fitness is near. This is about 2 weeks before I get a call saying I need to update my card info so they can take another payment out. I got a voicemail from them, so I called back. I ended up getting this really sweet young girl that told me not to worry about updating if I cancelled and that maybe the membership wasn't updated yet. She told me that mailing in to cancel is a lot harder for them than calling in to cancel so it just takes a little longer. Then 10 min later, I get another call. tell the lady I already spoke to someone and what she said. The lady then started speaking with force and attacking me saying I NEED to update my info because I still owe until it is processed. I then told her I can't update my card because I had fraud (which is true) so I don't have a card anymore. She then told meĀ  need to figure it out and go into my local LA fitness center to update it ASAP..... ummm excuse me??? Who is she to be rude like that?? and why am I getting 2 different stories???
