This is the second time I have had to use this warranty company. The first time, after three days of waiting for someone from their dispatch to phone me, I gave up and paid for the repairs myself from a licensed electrician in town. This time, my air conditioning has gone out. It is over 100 degrees in Idaho right now where I live. I could have had a local licensed contractor here the very next day. So far, I have waited on the phone for over an hour and 23 minutes to speak to an employee of AHS to be told the job has been expedited. It has been hours since that phone call and still no call from dispatch. have the day is gone already. I still have to speak to them before I even get set up with a contractor which may mean someone from out of town because they only use people who are a member of their warranty program. Meanwhile, Im sitting in a home that is heating up along with my elderly mother and small animals. This company has a method. If they make you wait long enough, you give up and just pay for the repairs yourself. This is yet another example of a horrible company that fleeces the consumer. I plan to report how long this process takes to AHS headquarters as well as social media. These will be facts based on invoicing and timed stamped phone calls to show facts. People should know what they are getting into before they purchase a home warranty program with AHS.
