Wow, this is outrageous! I too am being told that I have PPV charges that they got off the card when I turned it in after switching to U-verse. I  have ordered maybe 3 or 4 PPV's in the last 5 years since I have had Direct TV.  I ordered them by phone because that is the only way we could order and view them.  They claim if there was an attempt by remote that you are still charged - how can that be - it wasn't technically possible to even view them. Now they say I owe them for PPV's and they won't document.  This is quite the scam.  How do they get away with this?  Some of you have made comments that it isn't the amount, it's the principal. Absolutely! It's unscrupulous!  Does anyone know if a class action has been filed? How do I get involved?

The same thing happened to me a few months ago. When I called to contest the charges the guy kept saying "you definitely ordered them" over and over like he was told to keep saying it until I believed it. I told him I never had a phone line hooked up so ordering through the remote wouldn't have worked, there would have been a message on the tv that said "call to order" if you ever tried to purchase any ppv movie. I read all the horror stories about them charging credit cards, ruining credit and harrassing phone calls at all hours so i decided to pay the $158 and hope there will be a class action soon.
